Formula E announces partnership with The Climate Group

Formula E has teamed up with The Climate Group as a Global Ambassador for EV100 – to help promote the widespread uptake of electric vehicles.

EV100 is the only initiative of its kind to actively encourage world-leading companies to commit to the quicker and smoother transition to electric – helping to deliver on sustainability goals and future-proofing operations.

Big brands such as Unilever, Baidu, IKEA Group and DHL – Official Founding and Logistics Partner of the FIA Formula E Championship – are members of EV100, pledging to implement charging schemes in the workplace and swapping current diesel and petrol fleets to fully-electric by 2030.

The Climate Group has also joined the FIA Formula E Championship as an Official and International Foundation Partner – alongside the existing partnership with Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation.

September 2016

FanBoost voting is now open for the HKT Hong Kong ePrix, the opening race of season three of the FIA Formula E Championship, which takes place on October 9.
The unique fan interaction system rewards the three drivers with the most votes with an additional 100kJ of energy. Voting remains open until six minutes into the race, which means that FanBoost is only available in the second car.

There are three ways in which you can vote.

via the official Formula E website –
via the official Formula E App, which is available on iOS and Android, and can be downloaded here:

through social media: hashtag voting is available through Twitter and Instagram. To vote on Twitter, post or retweet using #FanBoost and #DriverName. To vote on Instagram, post a picture or video along with #FanBoost and #DriverName
You can vote once a day through each channel, giving you a potential of four votes per day.

Last season, Lucas di Grassi led the way, winning the fan vote five times. But he trails in the all-time FanBoost winner’s list behind Jean-Eric Vergne, who’s received the power boost on nine occasions.

Vote now to give your favourite driver the perfect start to the new season.

June 2015

Close to the final races in London, the top drivers have to fight more and more as none of them can count on points: Nelson Piquet is on top, Lucas Di Grassi and Sebastien Buemi are very close and the twin ePrixes at Battersea Park will tell us who’s the winner.

April 2015

Two races in a row, Miami and Long Beach, for great U.S.A. shows: for sixth time another winner. Lucas di Grassi keeps the head of Championship jus one point ahead of Nelson Piquet jr., too close to call. Let’s see the european ePrix, Montecarlo is just the appetiser, then Berlin, Moscow and London.

Charles Pic headed the Jarno Trulli’s car, at turn 7, and the unlucky Italian Driver was forced to stop the race. Someone tell Charles that the left pedal in the car is dedicated to the brakes.

March 2015:

Trulli Racing appointed Vitantonio Liuzzi as second driver, taking the Michela Cerruti seat, and Charles Pic do the same with the Ho-Pin Tung seat at China Racing.

February 2015:

Great news from London: a new ePrix will be held at Battersea Park, Sunday 28th June 2015, as 11th Round. Number 10 will be as announced Saturday 27th June 2015, a big effort for the Teams, a nice gift for supporters and Formula E lovers.

ePrix date change for Berlin ePrix, the event moves forward by one week, then is now scheduled for May 23 2015, to allow more time between events for the Teams.

Will be the new ePrix, due June 6 2015. The circuit is waiting the final cleareance from FIA but everything is ready to race in this iconic city and we have no doubt the Moscow ePrix is going to be a fantastic spectacle for teams, drivers and fans.

December 2014:

Garcia joins China Racing in Uruguay

World-class GT racer Antonio Garcia will race alongside Nelson Piquet Jr. at China Racing for the next Formula E race.
Spaniard Garcia will make his series debut at the Punta del Este ePrix on December 13. He is replacing Ho-Pin Tung, who is unavailable to drive due to a prior commitment.

November 2014:

Municipality of Copenhagen, Denmark, is working to host a Formula E ePrix in the future. The wonderful hometown of Andersen’s Little Mermaid is the European Green Capital 2014 and has placed public-private partnerships at the core of its approach to eco-innovation and sustainable mobility. The city works with companies, universities and organisations in dedicated forums to develop and implement green growth. Its North Harbour project, for example, will include a “Green laboratory” that will focus on eco-technologies, a model that can be transferred to other towns and cities.

October 2014:

Alejandro Agag announces a wide opening for new Teams in the Formula E second season 2015/2016. To attract car manufacturers the Teams will develop their own electric engines and, in season three, the batteries too. GREENGYNE bet on BMW, Renault and Audi for Europe, maybe Chevrolet and Tesla for Americas. Send us your guess.

After Beijing:

Several Teams give away autographed photo of their Drivers, some caps and t-shirts. Money to buy the items are Tweets and Facebook Likes, keep an eye on associated pages and accounts.

One ePrix missing in action:

The official Formula E calendar still reports a TDB ePrix: it was supposed to be held in Rio de Janeiro or Hong Kong but logistics and financial issues have led to cancelation. To keep the 10 planned ePrix, a European location, probably Montecarlo or Berlin, will host two Events back-to-back, the first one on Saturday and the second on Sunday.

Montreal, Canada:

Montreal City Council is in talks with FIA Formula E for an ePrix in 2017. The City, backed by a sound experience in Formula 1 GP organization, can be a great venue for our beloved silent cars.
